Because our food that we serve at the restaurant is too good not to share, we’ve launched a catering service. Tailored to your occasion big or small, we got you!

Please keep in mind that we sometimes book up for a particular day and must stop accepting orders. We always recommend placing your order as soon as you decide to use us to cater your event. Please submit all catering inquiries at least one week before desired date of service.


Type 1: Pick Up Catering Trays

Pick up your order at one of our locations in San Marcos, Carlsbad, or Encinitas. We set everything (or almost everything) in catering trays instead of take out boxes. All of our food is plated on or in sturdy plastic catering trays or bowls with pop off  dome lids. They are fully garnished and ready to serve. All you must do is pop off  the lid. These platters are disposable and are yours to keep. Due to space, time, and handling constraints we are unable to use your platters.

Type 1 catering has a minimum order requirement of $300. If this is not the right option for you, you can schedule a takeout order here and set a specific future date and time for pickup.


Type 2: On Site Catering

Have our chefs at your event! Our team will create a sushi counter and set up a tempura fryer on site, then pre-make some rolls and appetizers for guests to snack on as they arrive. They can also take orders throughout the night for any special requests your guests may have, within reason.

We will provide a selection of sushi rolls, appetizers, salads, and a basic selection of sashimi and nigiri. Anything else, like hot kitchen items or specialty fish are also available for an additional charge. If you have a grill on site, we would be happy to use it during your event.


Customized catering for every occasion

At Hooked On Sushi, we take pride in offering catering options that accommodate a wide range of dietary needs. Our extensive menu features nearly 100 rolls, including gluten-free and vegetarian options, along with over 25 fresh fish choices and a variety of hot kitchen items such as yakisoba, teriyaki, and tempura dishes. No matter the preference, we have something for everyone to enjoy!

Please inform us of any dietary restrictions or allergies when placing your order. We’re happy to tailor our offerings to ensure every guest has a delicious and satisfying meal.

 

 
  • We are usually able to accommodate changes made at least 1 week before your event. Let us know when submitting your order if you anticipate making any adjustments. Please note that we consider all orders final 1 week before the scheduled event date and are not able to make any changes after this time.

  • Catering orders cancelled less than two full days before the scheduled event date will be charged 50% of the total invoice. Orders that are cancelled less than one full day before the scheduled event date will be charged 80% of the total invoice. Orders that are cancelled the day of the scheduled event will be charged 100% of the total invoice. These charges are to cover foods that cannot be used, labor, rental goods, and jobs we may have declined in order to accommodate your event.

  • All catering order invoices are submitted upon receipt of final menu selection. Invoices are due within 24 hours of receiving the invoice. All orders placed that have not been paid will be cancelled.

  • Single service items include: chopsticks, soy sauce, ginger and wasabi. Napkins are available upon request. We do not provide paper plates, paper napkins, and plastic serving utensils.

  • We do not automatically add gratuities to catering orders. We are often asked if tipping is customary, to which we respond that some customers do and others don’t. The matter is up to you. Gratuities are shared among all who helped prepare and execute your order.
